“You are to rise in the presence of the elderly and honor the old. Fear your God; I am the Lord.”
—Leviticus 19:32 (CSB)
How often have you read a post that starts with a verse from Leviticus? I found this verse that talks about getting up from your seat before the white-haired, and giving honor to the old, and letting the fear of your God be before you because He is the Lord.
No matter where I go people give me a chair. All sorts of chairs. The hospitality here in the Dominican Republic is amazing. It may be my white hair, but I noticed for most people they search out a chair for any guest to sit on.

Another sign of hospitality is asking one to participate in the sacrament of communion. At the church I attend, Pastor Samuel asked me to help serve communion. It was an honor to serve alongside a colleague.

Agua—’water,’ in English—is very precious in the Dominican Republic. A cup of water is another sign of hospitality.

I went to Google photos and put in chairs. It was fun to see all of the chair photos. I added two fun photos just because.

We have a chair just for you should you come here on one of our teams.
Blessings,
Jacki
