It’s been a busy season for Mission Teams! Following a small team last October, we hosted a 13-member team from Suncrest United Methodist Church (Morgantown, WV) in November. The team, many of whom are young adults, chose to spend their Thanksgiving holiday serving others. The team poured several concrete floors, led Bible school activities, visited patients in the local hospital, and served on the Food Distribution.
One highlight of the week was the privilege of sharing Thanksgiving dinner with staff, children, and families at a local orphanage in Barahona. Team leader Ron Lytle and his family have a long-standing tradition of sponsoring this annual celebration at the orphanage, which is a ministry operated by a local church in Barahona city.
